ENT Services questions

Do I need a referral for an ENT consultation?
No. You can request an ENT consultation directly. If another doctor has referred you, bring their letter and any previous reports.
Do you remove ear wax?
Yes. Ear cleaning and wax removal is carried out after an examination, since not every blocked ear is wax and treating the wrong thing wastes your time.
Do you offer allergy testing?
Yes. An allergy test helps identify what is driving recurring nasal, sinus or throat symptoms, so treatment targets the cause rather than the flare-up.
How is recurring tonsillitis treated?
Tonsillitis treatment starts with working out why it keeps returning. Most cases are managed medically. Where surgery is genuinely the right answer, we explain why and refer you to a surgical team.
Do you carry out surgery?
No. Ours is a non-surgical ENT service. We diagnose, treat medically and manage conditions over time, and refer to a surgical team where a procedure is needed, with your findings going with you.
